nobody told me newborns are this loud asleep. grunts snorts squeaks and the occasional long sigh like he's read the news. partner sleeps through all of it. i lie there deciding if each grunt is the one that means he's waking up. it never is 🤷
The sigh like he's read the news is exactly it. Mine sounded like a small goat for the first couple of months. It gets quieter, and then you miss it a little.
we moved the crib a foot further from the bed and i slept better. same noises, just felt further away
We did the same with our son, and then I kept getting up to check on him because he was now too far away to hear properly. There was no winning that first month.
Wait till they're teenagers and snore through the wall. Two boys here, the noise never stopped, it only got deeper :)
so this is my life now. good to know
