Moving in with my in-laws in Malkajgiri would put Takshasila Public School nearby. Is it worth considering for LKG?

umber_sparrow_120

My in-laws live in Malkajgiri and have offered for us to move in with them next year, mainly so they can help with our son. He'll be starting LKG next June. We're in Tellapur now, and I work hybrid with early calls. Takshasila Public School is a few minutes from their house, and it runs till class 10, which would mean no second switch for years. I don't know anything else about it yet. Is anyone familiar with the LKG day there, the timings and how dispersal works? And separately, for those who chose a school around grandparents' help, did that hold up?

don't know the school. but moving in with in-laws for pickups is a much bigger decision than the school. we looked at it for my son and stayed put. no regrets either way, just saying decide that one first

We have a family member living with us and it has been a real help with our daughter. It works because we agreed early on who decides what, and we revisit it. That conversation is worth having before choosing a school around it.

Haven't heard anything about Takshasila specifically. When you visit, ask to see how LKG children are handed over at dispersal. With grandparents doing pickup, that matters more than most things on the brochure.
