Malkajgiri to the Manikonda side next year? Looking at Tejomayi School for two boys

moss_paper_2041

Partner's work is moving west and the commute from Malkajgiri will be brutal, so we're looking at renting somewhere around Manikonda from next June. Nothing signed yet Two boys. The younger would start nursery and the elder goes into class 3. Tejomayi School came up because it has both and is CBSE like their current school. Anyone know how they take in a class 3 joiner, and whether nursery and primary finish around the same time? One pickup instead of two is half the reason

Note it ends at class 8. With a class 3 joiner that's another switch in five years. Worth knowing now.

We live in Gopanpally and looked at schools on that side last year for our younger one. Tejomayi wasn't on our final list, so I can't tell you about the classes. What I can say is that the drive matters more than the map suggests. Drive the route on a school morning before signing anything. Some of the lanes around Manikonda take twice as long at school time.

I don't know the school either. I would separate the two decisions, though. If the move is happening regardless of schools, shortlist everything within fifteen minutes of where you rent. If the move depends on getting the school, visit first and rent second. In my experience people do it the other way round and then end up commuting anyway.

move is happening, the school isn't the reason. so shortlist first, fair. the class 8 thing i hadn't even noticed

Our family went round in circles on east versus west last year and stayed in Uppal in the end, mostly because the children's routines and friends were here and moving both of them at once felt like a lot. Not saying that's your answer. Only that the school list got very long once we started, and fixing the area first helped.
