LB Nagar to the Hafeezpet side next year? Weighing Maples for our son's class 6

sage_notebook_6145

My partner's work is mostly on the west side now, and the daily drive from LB Nagar is wearing everyone down. I work from home, so in theory we could move. The catch is our son, who would change schools for class 6 after being with the same friends since nursery. Maples in Hafeezpet keeps coming up for the areas we're considering. If your children are in the middle classes there, how long is the day and how much homework comes home? I'd be the one doing pickup and sitting with him in the evenings, so that matters more to me than anything in a brochure. I'm trying to decide if the move is worth it before we start looking at flats.

Can't help with Maples itself. One practical point, since pickup would be yours: I drive through Hafeezpet for site visits, and the main road there is slow around school dismissal, more so when it rains. Before you commit to a flat, do the pickup route at 3 pm on a weekday.

That's a useful test. We'd planned to look at flats on Sundays, which tells us nothing about a weekday afternoon. Will do a dry run first.
