Is there any open ground left around Kondapur where kids can just kick a ball, no academy, no booking?

My son wants to play football after school. Not in a class. Just a ball and whoever turns up, the way we played. Every ground I've found is a paid turf by the hour, an academy with a kit fee, or a school ground with a lock on it. The apartment podium is for cycles, and the security guard has opinions about balls. Where do kids around here just play?

In Bachupally our colony kids use the empty plot behind the temple, till someone builds on it. Every area seems to have one of those for a few years. Not much help for Kondapur though 🙂

gopanpally has plenty of open plots. mostly construction debris and the occasional cow. mine is still a toddler so we haven't tested them for football

Most of the open space in the newer parts of the city sits inside gated communities. Some societies let non-residents use their ground if a resident vouches for them. It may be worth asking parents at his school which societies have a ground and an easygoing committee, rather than looking for a public one.

There isn't one. When my daughter was younger we ended up booking a turf slot on Sunday mornings and splitting it between six families. Cheaper than an academy, and nobody wears a uniform.
