Huda High School is walkable for us. Anyone walk a nursery child there?

It's early days, our daughter is one, but my partner and I have started the school conversation and keep landing on the same point. My partner wants a school we can walk to. I'm less sure walking should outweigh everything else, and Huda High School in Himayatnagar is the one that's properly walkable for us. For families who walk small children to school anywhere around here: how does it hold up in the monsoon, with two working parents on alternating office days? And if your child is in nursery or the first classes at Huda, how do drop-off and pickup work for the little ones?

We're having the exact same argument at home, our son is about the same age. Walkable is winning for us mainly because of the van timings we hear about from friends, 6.45 pickups for a school that starts at 9. Nothing on Huda specifically though, sorry.

We did walkable for the younger one and a bus for the older one, so I've seen both. Walking won on rain days, because I could just pick him up and go. The bus won on days I had to be at the store early. With alternating office days, whoever is home does the walk. It settled into a pattern faster than I expected.

That matches our experience, with one addition. Check what time the nursery section finishes compared with the older classes. At our school the little ones finished nearly two hours earlier, so walkable meant two walks a day for a few years.

We're in Domalguda, so same stretch of traffic. Haven't been inside Huda, but one practical thing: stand outside at drop time one morning with your daughter in the pram and see how the walk feels in real life. Good thing is you have a couple of years to decide :)
