Holiday homework due on day one. She has eight days and hasn't opened the project

peach_veranda_2917

Class 6 holiday homework: a science model, a Hindi scrapbook, a reading journal and a maths booklet. She did the maths in April and declared herself finished. The other three are still in the plastic folder exactly where the school put them. Do I let her face the teacher on the first day, or sit with her every evening this week? I'm leaning towards consequences. My partner is leaning towards buying chart paper.

from the school side: teachers can tell in about four seconds which projects a parent made the night before. one honest late submission is better than that. let her face it

Mine is younger so the holiday work is mostly colouring, and even that came down to the last two days. Arre, every house is the same. Maybe sit with her two evenings, not all eight? Then she does the rest.

ours did exactly this every year till class 9. we let her face it once in class 7. the next year the scrapbook was done in two nights. not saying it works for every kid but it worked once for us

once is all i need. though i suspect she'll find a friend's mother to help before she faces anything
