Helping our cook find out about class 1 admission at Sivadutt Rai English Medium High School

Slightly unusual one. The lady who has cooked for us for years lives near Charminar, and her son starts class 1 next June. Sivadutt Rai English Medium High School is close to their home and she asked me to help find out how admission works there. My daughter is 15 and in a CBSE school on the other side of the city, so I know nothing about that area or the State Board side. From anyone with recent experience: when do they usually start giving out forms for class 1, and is there any test or interaction for a six year old? She is hearing different things from neighbours and I'd rather not pass on guesses :)

don't know this school. when a relative did class 1 admission at a state board school last year, the useful thing was going to the office in person with the birth certificate and asking for the form directly. the office told her more in five minutes than the neighbours had in a month

  Also ask what time class 1 gets over. If she's cooking for you in the afternoons, pickup might turn out to be the bigger problem than the admission

  Check the documents list too, beyond the birth certificate. Some schools want a transfer certificate even from a playschool. Better to know before standing in the queue.
