Helping our caregiver look at Sri Poojitha School in Yousufguda for her son

amber_sandal_9925

Our caregiver's son is in class 4 and she wants to move him for next year. She isn't on any parent groups, so she has asked me to ask around about Sri Poojitha School in Yousufguda, which is close to where they live. Her main concern is communication. She reads Telugu comfortably but not much English, and she wants to follow the diary, circulars and PTM discussions herself. Do any current or past parents know how the school communicates with families who are more comfortable in Telugu?

Not a parent there. From the teacher's side: ask at the office whether a class teacher or someone at the front desk can explain things in Telugu at PTMs. Most schools have at least one such person, but it helps to know who it is before the first meeting.

That's a practical way to put it, thank you. She is also going to ask whether he could sit in a class for a morning before they decide. His current school allowed that when he joined, and it helped him settle.

Please share if they agree to the sit-in. We're looking for a school for our 4 year old next year and I'd like to know whether schools here allow a trial morning at all, especially for younger children.

A sit-in is a good idea at any age. Schools will often agree if you ask, even for little ones, though few advertise it, and it shows you a lot about how the teachers handle a new child. Hope it goes well for her son.
