Group maths tuition is too slow for her, one-on-one costs three times as much
Since June our class 10 daughter has been going to a group maths tuition with about twelve students. She says the first hour goes on checking homework she has already done correctly, and she is bored. Her marks are fine. A one-on-one tutor would cost roughly three times what we pay now. She would get more out of each hour, but I'm not convinced fine marks need that much money, and her brother has his own classes to pay for. The other option is dropping tuition altogether and having her work through the school material herself, with someone she can call before tests. She likes that idea a little too much, which is exactly why I'm hesitant.
