Everything is typed in grade 7 now and her handwriting has gone downhill

Our daughter's school lets them submit most assignments typed, and she types fast and neatly. Her handwriting, on the other hand, has gone from decent to something I need to decode 🤷 She says nobody hand-writes anything anymore. Not sure that holds for exams later. Should I push some handwriting at home or let it go?

My grandson is 8 and still writes everything by hand, so I'm watching this with interest. In my day we were made to copy out pages. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but a little writing every day did keep it legible. A letter to her grandparents now and then counts.

Are her school exams still handwritten? That's what I'd go by.
