Do most class 10 students from Good Shepherd High School, Jeedimetla, move to integrated junior colleges?

basil_diary_1104

My son's friend from tuition studies at Good Shepherd in Jeedimetla. The school stops at class 10, and according to the friend nearly his whole class is going to integrated coaching colleges for 11th. Now my son wants the same. Parents of current class 10 students there: is that really what most families do, or is it a few loud ones? We hadn't planned to move him after 10th at all.

'Nearly his whole class' at 15 usually means his group of five. Ask the friend's parents, not the friend. And ask your son what he thinks an ordinary day there looks like.

this. my son's 'everyone' is the same three boys from the bus, every single time

I did intermediate at a college like that. Bus at 6.30, home by 8, study hours on Sundays. Some of my batch did really well there. I mostly remember being tired. Get him to talk to someone who is in one right now, not someone selling it.

We went IB partly so we would never have this conversation, and now I'm told the same scramble happens before DP anyway. Does the integrated college replace school completely, or is it school with coaching on top?

The one his friend keeps mentioning is college and coaching in one building. 8 to 6, then evening study. Board exam through the college.

IB parent, daughter in MYP. The scramble is real but for us it's about subject choices and which school offers the DP combination she wants. Fewer 6.30 buses, same amount of dinner-table debate.

      Replying to @indigo_pigeon_7043

The dinner-table part I recognise. Ours ended with him taking his plate to his room.
