Daycare birthday parties every other weekend now. Do you go to all of them with a baby?

Our son's daycare room is full of babies turning one this season, and the invitations have started. Three in August already, all at party halls, all on Saturday or Sunday afternoon, right in nap time. We went to the first one. It was lovely, and he was miserable from the noise and then awake till 11. I'd like to keep up with the other families, because these are the people we'll see for the next few years. I'd also like our weekends back. How did you decide which ones to go to? Is it rude to just drop off a gift and skip the party?

We went to every single one for the first few months, mostly out of guilt. Then our daughter got a cold at one of them and missed four days of daycare, and that settled it. Now we go to the ones where we properly talk to the parents at pickup, and send a small gift for the rest. Nobody has said anything. Most of them looked relieved when we said we couldn't come, so I think a lot of families are doing the same sum 🙂 Not sure there is a rule for this yet.
