Class 8 is moving to the school's other campus, 4 km away, and his sister stays at the old one

Got a call this morning. From this term, class 8 moves to the school's new building across the main road, about 4 km from the old one. Our son is going into class 8. Our daughter stays at the old campus. So now it's two drops in two directions, both before my 8 am call. When we joined, nobody mentioned a second campus. Is this something schools just do? Has anyone pushed back, or at least got the transport sorted before the shift?

What does the admission letter or the fee receipt say? If it names the school without a specific address, I suspect they have room to do this, however annoying. If it names the campus, you have something concrete to raise. I'd check that before deciding how hard to push.

This happened with our younger son's school in Bangalore, when his class 2 moved to a new block across town. We didn't get the campus changed, but we did get them to add a bus stop near us, because enough parents asked in the same week. Asking together worked far better than separate complaints.

Did the fees change when the campus did? Our son is still a baby, so this is a long way off for us, but I'm curious what to check in the paperwork when the time comes.

Asking together is a good idea. It's only class 8 and up moving, so fewer parents, but they're all in one group already. Will raise it there tonight.

Checked. The letter just says the school name, and 'campus as allotted' in small print at the bottom. So, room to do this, as you guessed. Ha. Reading the small print three years late.
