class 7 homework takes three hours because she rewrites any page with one mistake

one wrong word and the page is torn out and redone. neat handwriting, nothing wrong with the actual work. social homework last night went on till 10. not sure whether to step in or leave it. school hasn't said anything, her notebooks are lovely

We went through something similar with our son in class 3. What eventually helped was a rule we agreed on together: one neat strike-through is allowed, and a page is only redone if the teacher asks for it. He tested it for a while, but within a few weeks the evenings were shorter. It may also be worth checking with the class teacher whether corrections bother them. Children sometimes assume a strictness the teacher doesn't have.

tried the strike-through rule. first night she cried, second night she used it once and didn't tear anything out. will ask the teacher too
