Class 4 and she's already doing the eye roll. Picked it up on the school bus

hazel_river_3974

She rides the school bus with children up to class 10, and over the last month she has started saying 'whatever' and 'so cringe' and rolling her eyes when asked to put her shoes away. It isn't rude exactly. It's more like she's trying out a character she has seen. I'm not too worried, but I wasn't expecting the teenage phase to arrive by bus this early. Do you correct it, or ignore it until it passes? My partner finds it hilarious, which isn't helping.

Ours started around 9 with 'I'm literally dying' about everything, including dal. We ignored most of it and only said something when it was aimed at her grandmother. It has mostly faded now. Although I caught myself saying 'literally' in a meeting last week, so maybe it just moved 🙂
