Class 10 and she's standing for school captain. Her amma says it's the wrong year.

Elections are in two weeks. She has a speech, a poster team of four friends, and a manifesto about water coolers on every floor 🙂 Her amma is worried about board year, and fair enough. I see captains at my own school every year. Most of them manage fine, a few get stretched thin by December when the events pile up. I'm leaning towards letting her go for it and sitting down with her once if she wins. Did any of your kids take on a big role in class 10? Did it cost them, or was it fine?
