Class 1 admission form wants 250 words on our 'parenting philosophy'

Doing class 1 application forms for our 5 year old. One school has a section for parents, describe your parenting philosophy and what you expect from the school, minimum 250 words. I've written design documents shorter than that. Do schools actually read these? Did anyone write a few lines and still get through, or is this where they decide 🤷

Haha I had a version of this at preschool level, for a 3 year old. 'Describe your child's personality in 200 words.' I wrote what he's like, including the part where he refuses socks. Nobody mentioned it in the meeting. My guess is it's there to see whether parents take the form seriously, not for the content.

We kept ours to six or seven plain sentences about what our daughter is like and what we hoped for from the school. Nobody brought it up at the interaction either. The questions there were about her, not us.

Teacher here, not admissions. Where I work the office does read them, mostly to see if anything needs a follow-up, like a health or language need. Short and honest is fine. A copied essay stands out more than a short one.
