Caught my daughter practising my signature. She says it's to save me signing her diary

sunny_quilt_8554

Found a page at the back of her rough notebook covered in my signature. Twenty-odd attempts, improving steadily, the last few not bad at all. When I asked, she explained very patiently that I always sign the school diary at 10 pm half asleep, so she was 'helping'. Nothing in the diary needed hiding, I checked. She's just efficient. I've added a small flourish at the end of my signature now. Let's see how long it takes her to catch up 🤷

The flourish is a good counter-move 🙂 Mine is in class 2 and already asks me to sign the reading log without hearing him read. Clearly the training starts early.

Mine skip the practice and hand the diary to whichever adult is busiest. Works every time 🤷

reading logs are where it starts. ours is signed in three different pens because whoever is nearest gets handed the book

No children yet and I'm reading this thread like a manual. Noted: pick a harder signature now.

I would watch whether it stays a convenience. With my son it began exactly like this in class 6, and by class 8 the diary note about a missed assignment had been signed on my behalf as well. Not a crisis, but I wish I had asked to see the whole diary on Sundays instead of only signing the page I was handed.
