Caregiver holds our 3 month old through every nap. On weekends she won't go down in the cot

Weekdays the caregiver has her, and every nap happens in her arms. Sometimes two hours. She says the baby cries if put down, so why make her cry. Weekends it's us, and the baby fights the cot every single time. Do we ask the caregiver to try the cot, or is three months too small to worry about this? Not sure what's normal.
