Can you just walk into New Takshasila High School and ask to look around?

We live in LB Nagar and New Takshasila is one of the schools I keep driving past. My son is 5 and goes into class 1 next year, so I'm starting to make a short list for him. The website doesn't say much about visits. Is it normal to turn up at the office on a weekday and ask to see a class 1 room, or do they expect you to call and fix a time? My office days keep shifting with client workshops, so I'd rather not drive over and get a brochure at the counter and nothing else.

doing the same rounds for my 3 year old in tolichowki. three schools so far. the one where we'd called the day before showed us a classroom and let us stand at the back for a few minutes. the two where we just walked in gave us a form at the gate and that was it. also go late morning, not near dispersal, nobody has time for you at 3

I did the school visits for my sister a few years ago, when our parents couldn't take time off. What helped was calling first and asking who handles admissions for the class you want, then asking for that person by role when you go. I also kept a copy of her birth certificate and last report card in the car, because one office wanted to see them before talking about anything else. You may not need them for class 1, but it saves a second trip.

Ask to see a class 1 notebook from this term, not just the room. The room tells you very little. The notebook shows you how much writing they do, how it's corrected and how neat they expect a six year old to be. If the office won't show you that, it's still useful information.
