Can our 12 year old go with the neighbours on Bonalu day if I'm on shift?

Our neighbours go every year. Their daughter is in my daughter's class, and this year they've asked if ours can come along for the procession and the temple. She is very keen. We're not from here and I've never been myself, so I don't know what the crowd is like or how long they'll be out. I'm rostered that day. My partner will be home but has no more idea than I do. What should I ask the neighbours before I say yes? Timings, where they'll be standing, whether she should carry a phone? She's sensible, but she's also small.
