Bald patch on the back of our 4 month old's head. Anything to do, or just wait?

Her hair was thick at birth. Now there's a smooth round patch at the back where she lies, and the rest is thinning too. Paediatrician wasn't worried at the last visit. My mother-in-law is, and has suggested three different oils. Did yours grow back on their own? Roughly how long?

Both of my sons had that patch. It filled in once they were sitting up and moving around more. We didn't put anything on it.

Same with both my girls. My atthamma also had a list of oils, I just nodded and kept the bottles in the cupboard 😄 By her first birthday you won't remember where the patch was.

normal. the back of the head rubs on the sheet all day. ours had it for months. the only thing we did was more awake time on the tummy and in arms

Our boy had a bald back and full hair on top for months, looked like a little uncle. Grew out on its own. Dadi tried coconut oil anyway, no harm done.
