Anyone around Attapur or Rajendranagar who repairs kids' battery cars?

The battery car our son got from his grandparents over the holidays stopped moving last week. Lights and horn still work, the wheels don't. He's been pushing it round the parking with his little sister sitting in it, which is very sweet for about two minutes. The shop that sold it will only look at it under warranty, and the warranty card is, naturally, nowhere. I'm fine with most small repairs at home but I've never opened one of these. Is it likely just the battery, and is that something I can swap myself? Or is there someone local who fixes them? ❤

Ours did exactly this around Durga Puja last year, lights on, wheels dead. First check the wire going into the battery, one of ours had come loose. When that didn't fix it, the battery was gone. The inverter battery shop near us sold a matching one once I took the old one along to compare the label. Baba was thrilled to have a project 🙂 Sainikpuri is a long way from you, but any battery shop should manage it.

Before you spend on a battery, think about how much longer he will use it. My grandson rode his hard for one summer, and now he mostly wants his cycle; the car has become a parking ornament. A battery is not expensive, but the motors in these are not built to last. I would fix it once and not a second time.

This is our story too. The boys fought over it for one season, then it became a shelf for their football boots in the parking. That one season was worth it though ❤

      Replying to @maple_notebook_9603

How old were they when they lost interest? Mine is 3 and his grandparents have just promised him one.
