Almost walking. Does he need shoes yet, or is barefoot fine?

Our son is cruising along the sofa and can stand on his own for a few seconds before sitting down very hard. My mother has already bought tiny shoes with a squeaker in the heel (ha). At home he's barefoot. For the building corridor and the park, do they need proper shoes yet, or can that wait till he's walking properly?

From a long time ago: we kept our daughter barefoot at home and only bought shoes once she was walking steadily outside. Her grandmother gave her squeaky ones too. She loved them. We did not.

The squeaky shoes! Every grandmother buys them. My son had a pair and the whole building knew whenever he left the flat. For the park we switched to soft-soled ones because the hard soles kept tripping him.

Barefoot at home here too. Our younger one is about the same age, and we use socks with grips because the floor gets cold in the AC room. When did your daughter first need outside shoes?

      Replying to @mango_thread_39

Haha, the building announcement system. Soft soles it is. The squeakers can come out when my mother visits.
