Agency around Bandlaguda Jagir for a backup caregiver on my on-call weeks?

My on-call rota comes round every fourth week, and that week I can be pulled into a call at 2 am or 7 pm. Our regular caregiver works days, and the family member who usually covers nights is travelling a lot this year. I'm looking for an agency, or a trusted person, who can do a few nights or evenings on those weeks for a 3 year old. Not a full-time live-in. Has anyone used an agency in this area that sends the same person each time? A different stranger every week defeats the purpose.

    We're in Vanasthalipuram, so not your side. We tried an agency for our little one last year, and the people they sent were fine but different every time, which upset her more than me being away. In the end our regular akka's cousin started doing the odd night. Worth asking your caregiver if she knows someone 🙂

      That's a good point about the same face. I hadn't thought of asking her for her own network. She has a sister who works in the next lane, actually.

      Spoke to her this evening before she left. Her sister can't do nights but might manage two evenings. That covers half of it.

    Define 'backup'. Someone who sleeps over at your place, or someone who comes when you get paged? Those are different people at very different prices. Most agencies near us do the first and refuse the second.

      We used one near Alwal for a few months, overnight only. Same person most weeks, but twice they swapped her without telling us 🤷 Ask them to put 'same caregiver' in writing.

      Fair. The first, for the nights of an on-call week. If I get paged I'm not leaving the house anyway, I just can't be the one getting up with her.

      And check what they do about ID and police verification before anyone sleeps over. Some agencies say they do it and can't show you a single document.

    a few of the junior teachers at my school do evening babysitting for extra money. not agencies, but you know who they are. schools near you might have the same if you ask around quietly
