Daughter is 12, class 7, State Board. Wants to move next year to the school where her friends from our building go. They have an admission test for class 8. No idea what's on it. Full class 7 syllabus? English essay? Interview? On-call week for me so asking here instead of calling around 😄
Which board is the new school? That changes the maths part quite a lot.
CBSE. That's what worries me.
A classmate of my daughter's joined in class 7 from State Board. Her mother told me the maths section was mostly what they had done up to class 6, and the English part was a short written piece rather than grammar questions. That is one school, so it may differ, but you could ask the office for a sample paper. Some schools give one if you ask.
Is it mainly because the friends go there? Asking because my elder one wanted to follow a friend last year and by the time we'd sorted it out, the friendship had moved on haha. Not saying don't, just make sure there's something else she likes about the school too.
