A toddler at my branch today tried to deposit his biscuit at the cash counter

His mother was filling a form. He reached up, put a half-eaten biscuit through the gap under the glass and waited. Very serious face. My cashier gave him a deposit slip to hold and he was satisfied. The biscuit is still on her desk because nobody wants to be the one who throws away a customer's deposit.

Did he get a receipt? Mine at that age posted my car keys into the society letterbox at the gate. Took two days to find the person with the key.

The letterbox! Ours pushed coins into the AC vent. We found out only when the technician came in summer and handed me eleven rupees.

Mine is five months old and already tries to eat every receipt I hold. I can see where this is going.

Open a fixed deposit for the receipts now. By the time your little one walks, it'll be your phone going through some gap.

The smallest ones in my dance batch, 5 and 6 year olds, post their hair clips into the gap under the clubhouse mirror. When the mirror was taken down for repairs we found a full box of them.
