A project is taking longer because every idea is being polished

My child has three workable ideas for a simple project and keeps revising the cover before choosing one. I'm trying to support a decision without announcing which idea I prefer. What short question moves a child from exploring to actually starting?

Ask which idea they could begin with the materials already available.

The materials question could turn all this thinking into a first step.

Choosing one draft doesn't make the other ideas bad; they can save them for later.

Sometimes selecting the simplest starting idea produces more actual work than refining three possibilities indefinitely.

Setting a simple starting point doesn't erase the other good ideas. Save the alternatives and try one before decorating the final version.
