214 unread messages in the class group and nobody knows the homework

linen_gecko_1790

My 13 year old asked me to check whether there was any maths homework, as his phone time was over. The class group had 214 unread messages since the afternoon. I read all of them. There were stickers, a long argument about a cricket match, three people asking what the homework was, and eleven replies saying "same doubt". Nobody answered the question. He went to bed assuming there was none.

My son's group spent one full evening voting on a new group name. Homework still unknown ❤️

ours is about 300 messages and then someone posts a blurry photo of the board at 10.40 pm and the whole group goes quiet, satisfied

Wait till class 11. Now it's 400 messages, three sub-groups, and I'm told the "real" one is somewhere else 🤷

From the other side of this: we post homework on the school portal precisely because of these groups, and I still get asked what the homework is.

my 15 year old muted hers long ago and just asks her sister. the 13 year old has become the group's unofficial homework source, which she finds less funny than we do
