Our daughter went through this last year, with swimming. She wanted out because it was early on Sunday, and we let her stop. Within a few months she missed it, but by then the batch had moved on and she had lost her place. In hindsight I would have asked the coach about a later slot first. Many academies run a 9 or 10 o'clock batch on weekends that nobody mentions unless you ask. He keeps tennis and gets his sleep, and you find out whether it's the tennis or the hour.

+1 on asking for a later batch. Our elder one had the same Saturday complaint about badminton, moved to the 9.30 batch and the fight just stopped. The younger one quit hers altogether and never asked to go back, so even in one house it can go either way. Sometimes the kid is tired and sometimes the kid is done, and it takes a few weeks to tell which 🙂
