0on 11 year old nephew has been selling his drawings to classmates
Asked him over breakfast. He's saving for a set of proper sketch pens and has 140 so far. We agreed: no money at school, drawings can be gifts there, and he takes orders from the cousins over Diwali. He has already negotiated a 'festival rate' of 15 🙂
0on Nephew got to be class teacher for one period on Teachers' Day. He gave a surprise test.
He says 'most of them'. He also says he was fair. His classmates apparently do not agree, and two of them have told his mother.
4on Class 7 books have a QR code on every chapter, and now he 'needs the phone' for homework
I work with schools on content, and in my experience most of those QR links go to the publisher's own videos and very few teachers check whether children watched them. So your partner isn't wrong, the core homework is still in the book. I'd let him scan only when he's stuck on something, not by default :)
1on Eight years of Bharatanatyam, arangetram talk had just started, and now she wants to stop
Speaking as the kid in this story, decades ago: I was made to sit my final music exam at 16 when I badly wanted to stop. I passed, and didn't sing a note for twenty years. These days I sing to my nephew constantly, so maybe it comes back on its own schedule :)
