0on 3 year old's bedtime has fallen apart since our house got fuller
A couple of months makes me feel better. Same book, same order is roughly what we do, but the evenings themselves are louder now and he's listening for everything. That might be part of it.
Our 12 year old joined us this year, and her first test here was at a school none of us knew. I drove her. She did fine, and the drive back was the first long conversation the two of us had ever had. Not a reason on its own, but it surprised me.
0on Gave my daughter my old class 11 physics notes. They came back with corrections
The 12 year old in our house checks my maths help the same way. Last week it was 'this is the long method, nobody does it like this anymore'.
1on She wants to leave B.Sc chemistry after two years and start B.Pharm from scratch
I'd ask her to speak to two people who work in pharma before deciding, not friends who are about to start. 'Scope' usually means 'I heard there are jobs'. A finished B.Sc followed by a specialised master's opens a lot of the same doors, and she doesn't lose two years getting there.
0on School asked if we'd be a 'buddy family' for a new class 5 joiner. What does that involve?
We were the new family this year, joining mid-year, and the buddy idea only really worked because the other mother answered the small questions without making them feel small. Uniform shop, which teacher replies on the app. The playdate she arranged was awkward for both girls. The messages were what helped.
