Tried the turn-him-away thing last night. He twisted back round within ten minutes, like a sunflower. Compromise for now: the show goes on after he's down, even if that's 10.30. We'll see how long we last.

We did exactly the lodger setup for the first month and I hated it. Now I do the 10.30 bottle and go to bed, partner does the rest. I'm tired at work but I know my kid's face at night, if that makes sense.
