1on What did you keep in your daughter's school bag before her periods started?
My son is only 2 so I'm not there with a daughter. But I got mine at 11 in school and nobody had told me anything. Spent the whole afternoon terrified. Your girl is lucky you're talking about it already.
6on Some daycare parents want to 'discuss' the new child in our toddler room
Agree. I am looking at daycares for my son right now and the thing I check first is how many staff per child. If that number is fine, one child needing more help is the daycare's job to plan for, not something for parents to vote on.
0on Robotics class for a 6 year old. Worth it, or Lego with a fee?
What age do they usually start taking them? My 2 year old builds towers with his blocks every evening and my husband is already talking about classes.
1on Son's Saturday football league, and the baby naps at exactly kick-off
With our 2 year old it's the same at any function, anything outside his routine and he's gone. I take him only if I can sit near the car. Then if he wakes up crying I just go sit inside with the AC on and watch from there. Not the best view but I'm there.
My son is only 2, but if that was him in some years, I would want one parent to write like this. Even one.
1on Campus QA job or straight into an M.Sc? Our daughter has to decide before placements start
I work in QA at a food plant, with an M.Sc. In our lab, freshers with only a B.Sc mostly join as trainee analysts and do a lot of routine testing, some of it on night shift. With the M.Sc you start a little higher and it's easier to move into method development later. Both are fine. But the shift part is real, especially later when you have a family. My husband and I work opposite shifts and it's a daily juggle.
