1on Partner's home this year. Would half-day daycare fix our 2 year old's bedtime?
Before giving up the afternoons, I'd try a week of the same morning wake-up time, weekends included. With our son a late bedtime was partly a late start. If he is still awake at 10.30 after that week, the half-day decision becomes much clearer.

We tried this. The centre agreed to one trial class and he went this morning. His summary: the maths was a chapter ahead of school and not hard, the physics teacher was good, and he sat beside his friends but they weren't allowed to talk. He hasn't asked to go back. I'm not treating that as a final answer, but it was a better conversation than the ones we'd been having.
0on First week at cricket nets. He fielded the whole time and now calls himself a 'specialist fielder'
New boys field for the first few weeks at most academies. It is a reasonable way to see who turns up regularly. My son spent his first month at slip and short leg and still talks about one catch. The cap request is legitimate, by the way. Evening sun at the nets is harsh.
Dermatologist here, and I get rash photos from my building's group. My standard reply is that photos hide too much and I'd rather they saw someone who can examine the child today. Most people accept it. The ones who don't usually wanted a reassurance I couldn't honestly give anyway.
