Worth visiting two or three college campuses this summer, before class 12 takes over?

Our daughter has just finished class 11, and her coaching has a three-week break in May before class 12 starts properly. She has never really seen a college campus, and her ideas about colleges come mostly from YouTube. I'm thinking of using part of the break to visit two or three places within a day's travel, just to walk around and see what a working day looks like. Did this help your child decide anything, or is it a holiday with a purpose that doesn't change much? She hasn't settled on what she wants to study, so I'd be choosing campuses fairly blind.
