Second school bag since June and the main zip has gone again. Straps are fine. I am not buying a third bag in July. Is there anyone around Nagole or Uppal who fixes zips on bags properly, not a glue job? My son is 10 and stuffs it like a suitcase, so it needs to be strong.
Not near you, but most cobblers outside a market will change a full zip. Ours in Nallagandla did one in about twenty minutes while I waited. Ask for a thicker zip than the original, the thin ones on school bags give up quickly.
my diaper bag zip went last month. the shoe repair man at the bus stop just changed the slider, not the whole zip. ten minutes and cheap. often it's only the slider that's worn and the teeth are fine
Yes, check the slider first. Same thing with our son's bag. Also the tiffin box on top of the books is what strains it, tell him to pack it at the side.
