Early days, but we may move east next year and Brilliant Grammar High School has come up in a few conversations. The younger boy would be the one changing schools, the older one probably not. He's in CBSE now and has never done State Board. Roughly what time does the day end, how much homework comes home, and are Saturdays working days?
I can't help with the school, ours is still in preschool. But a colleague moved her son to a State Board school in class 6 last year, and what surprised them was the amount of written homework. Lots of question-answers to be learnt and written out, where his old school did more worksheets. Does your younger one mind writing?
Practical point from having two daughters at different stages: if the boys end up in two schools, you get two holiday lists, two PTM days and two sets of exam weeks that never line up. We underestimated that badly. Worth finding out which Saturdays this school works and how its exam weeks fall before you decide. Hope the move works out ❤️
