What do people mean when they call Ryan International, Kondapur a good school for the small classes?

We are starting a list for our daughter's class 3 next year. She moves into class 2 this month. When I ask around, Ryan International in Kondapur comes up more than once, but every recommendation is the same sentence: good school, good facilities. I would like the ordinary details instead. What a normal evening of homework looks like at that age, how the day divides between classwork and everything else, and whether a new child in class 3 gets absorbed or stays 'the new one' for a year. We live in Bandlaguda Jagir, so it would also mean a long drive, which I am still undecided about. If you have a child there, or visited recently, I would value what you noticed.

bandlaguda jagir to kondapur every day for a 7 yr old. i'd decide the drive first and the school second

That is fair. The drive is the part I keep postponing. Did you do a long school run yourself at some point?

      Replying to @pebble_fern_7907

I can only speak for the adult side. I drive from Tolichowki towards Kondapur for client demos and the time swings a lot with the hour of the day. I would try the route at the real school time on a weekday before deciding, rather than going by the map estimate.

I can't tell you about Ryan specifically; our daughter was never there. When we were choosing a primary school years ago, the most useful thing was asking to see a current class notebook during the visit, not the display ones. It shows you the homework pattern faster than any parent's description. On joiners, ask the office how many children joined that class last year. A vague answer tells you something too.

The notebook idea is good. I would add one thing: go at dispersal time if they let you stand outside. You see how tired the small ones look and how pickup works. We did that before choosing my son's school and it settled the matter for us.

Also ask whoever recommended it what they based it on. Half the 'good school' advice I get comes from people whose kids have never been inside the place.
