What are the nursery years like at Mercy High School in AS Rao Nagar, for a family that only knows CBSE?

We're thinking about renting closer to AS Rao Nagar next year, nearer my partner's work, and Mercy High School keeps coming up when I look at that area. It's State Board and goes from nursery to class 10. My elder son is in CBSE and I teach CBSE, so I know that side well. What I don't know is how the early years run at a State Board school like this one: how much writing in nursery and LKG, which languages they start with, how long the day is for the little ones. Parents there, or anyone who has walked around the campus, please tell me what the little ones' day looked like.

I don't know Mercy. But I'd be careful about assuming State Board means more or less writing in nursery. At that age the board decides very little and the school decides most of it. We saw two ICSE schools a kilometre apart: one had three year olds tracing letters every day, the other barely used pencils. Ask to see the nursery notebooks from last year.

Last year's notebooks are the honest version of the brochure. When we were looking around Uppal for my son's nursery, the one we chose hardly wrote anything till LKG, and it had nothing to do with the board.
