Vashishta the School runs both CBSE and ICSE. How did you choose which side for class 1?

My son is 4 and starts class 1 the year after next. We're looking at Vashishta the School in Almasguda, and one thing that caught my attention is that it offers both CBSE and ICSE. For parents who have looked at a school like this: how did you decide which board to put your child in at that age? Is it mostly about where you expect to be in class 10, or about how the day and the books feel for a small child? I'd also like to know whether people tend to ask about switching between the two later.

We'll be in the same place in a few years, our daughter is only one. Friends with older kids have told me the choice felt huge at class 1 and much less so a few years in, but I'll be curious what people who've done it say ❤️

Ask whether a child can move between the two streams later, and up to which class. That's the ordinary question behind the choice. If switching is possible until a certain point, the decision at class 1 carries less weight.

Work backwards. Which board do you see him writing class 10 in, and in which city? At 5 the difference is mostly the textbooks. Don't let anyone tell you it's a life decision at that age.
