Thinking about SR Digi School in Nacharam for our younger one's class 3. Is a move to State Board then sensible?

Our younger daughter is about to start class 2 at a CBSE school that is a 40-minute drive from Tarnaka on a good day. I do the afternoon pickup, and with my work travel it is getting harder to manage. SR Digi School in Nacharam would be about fifteen minutes away. The elder one stays where she is; she is in class 10 now. For the younger one we would be looking at next June, and it would mean moving from CBSE to State Board. For anyone who has made a similar move in the primary years, or knows families at this school: what changed for the child, and what should I ask when I visit?

Fifteen minutes against forty is a big difference at that age, for her and for you. When you visit, ask to see the class 3 textbooks and a corrected notebook. That tells you more about the change than any brochure.

Is a corrected notebook something schools will show you on a visit? We are only at the daycare stage, but when we asked to see the daily logs at one centre we were told those were 'internal'. I am curious whether schools are more open.

That is a useful suggestion. A neighbour's son is in class 5 there, so I may be able to look at his books before I visit. I had not thought of looking at corrected work.

      Replying to @umber_piano_6563

Our daycare showed us a sample log, with the names covered, when we asked a second time and explained why. I would expect a school to do the same if you ask for a sample rather than a particular child's book.
