Swimming camp is over, and the regular batch for her age is five evenings a week

She did the summer camp at the pool three mornings a week and loved it. Now camp is over, and the regular batch for her age runs Monday to Friday, 5 to 7. The coach says three days a week 'isn't how the batch works'. That's every weekday evening, with school back and homework starting. She's thrilled. I'm thinking about the little one's bedtime, dinner at 8, and who drives. Did anyone do five evenings at 10 and keep it going?

Something similar happened with our son and table tennis around that age. The first two months were exciting, then the school load caught up, and five days became three by Diwali. I'd ask once more for three days from the start, even if it isn't on their list. It's easier to add days than to drop them.

Easier to add than to drop works for basically everything with kids. We're nowhere near this yet, ours is three, but I'm saving the line.

      Replying to @lemon_rain_2711

Good to hear the three-day version survived. I'll ask the coach again tomorrow. My daughter will negotiate for five, obviously 🤷
