Small questions for the teacher at St. Jude's, Moula Ali. Diary, app, or wait for the PTM?

mango_quilt_5345

Looking east for next year, St. Jude's on the list for class 1. Daughter is 5. She comes home with half stories. "Ma'am was angry." "Someone took my bottle again." At her current preschool I message the teacher every time and I can feel myself becoming that dad. How do parents there ask the small stuff?

Which half story are you trying to check? "Ma'am was angry" could mean anything. Ask her what happened just before. That's usually the actual story.

no idea about st. jude's specifically. at my daughter's school the diary is the main thing. one line gets read, a paragraph gets skimmed

Teacher here, different school. One short note a week is fine. Every day, we start reading fast. Write what you saw and one question. Not the full story.

We're at the same stage, so I'm following this. My daughter's version of events changes depending on who asks her. I've started contacting the teacher only when the same thing comes up three times.

from the school side: please do ask. what teachers dread is the parent who saves up ten small things for the ptm. ask what the preferred channel is at the admission meeting, they'll tell you

Is the bottle one still happening? If it's every day, that's worth one message whatever the channel.
