siva vidya niketan in quthbullapur for class 5 next year? his cricket academy is out that way

son is in a cbse school close to home in jubilee hills. he goes to a cricket academy on the quthbullapur side four evenings a week and the drive is wearing everyone out. wondering if a school out there makes more sense from class 5, and siva vidya niketan high school came up it's state board, which we haven't done before. anyone with kids there, what's the day like, how much homework. not sure yet whether we'd move house or only school

    No experience with that school, sorry. But I'd think hard before moving school for an activity at 9 or 10. My brother changed schools for cricket at about that age, gave up the academy two years later, and was left with the long commute and none of the cricket.

    we're in bachupally. a couple of kids in our block go there, they're on the bus fairly early in the morning. don't know much beyond that

    Also looking at State Board options for class 6 next year, coming from ICSE, so I'll be reading along :) What's pulling you towards State Board apart from the location? I'm still trying to work out whether a board switch is a big deal at 10.
