She spent two weeks halving and doubling our recipe sheets, and now fractions make sense
We run a small food business, and in May my 10 year old started 'helping' with orders. Mostly scaling recipes. Half batch of this, one and a half of that, 3/4 cup times four. Fractions were her weak spot all through class 5. Her first class 6 maths worksheet came back yesterday and she'd finished it before I'd made tea. Not sharing this as advice. Just surprised it took a kitchen and not a tuition.
