School has put our 13 year old in the 'support' maths group for class 9

Final results came last week. She passed maths comfortably, not brilliantly, and the school's letter says she'll attend support classes twice a week from next term along with about ten others. She read the letter before I did. She's mortified and says everyone will know. I can't decide whether to ask the school to reconsider or tell her to go along and see how it is. Part of me thinks the extra help is fine and it's only the name that's the problem
