Preparing a 4 year old for the Manthan International School interaction, or is the list just parent panic?

umber_diary_4382

There's a list going around our apartment parents' group of things a child 'should know' before the admission interaction at Manthan International School in Madhapur. Reading three-letter words, writing her full name, numbers to 50, colours in two languages. My daughter is 4 and manages maybe half of that on a good day. Nobody seems to know who wrote the list, and I haven't found anything like it from the school itself. If your child has done the interaction there, what was it like? Anything close to this? I'd rather not spend the Dasara holidays drilling her if it's just panic travelling from group to group :)

No experience with Manthan. But a list like this turns up every year in every group. My daughter couldn't write her full name at four. She's 13 now and writes far too much, mostly in a diary I'm not allowed to see. Anything that comes without a source, I'd ignore.

We didn't apply there, so no idea what their interaction is like. One practical thing: when you call the admissions office, ask what the interaction involves and how long it takes. I did that for my daughter's school and got a plain answer in two minutes. It saved me a month of exactly the kind of drilling you're describing.
