Our caregiver feeds the baby while walking him round the building. I can't do that every evening

Our son is nine months old. At lunch with our caregiver he eats well, but only because she carries him round the building and points at birds and the watchman's dog between spoonfuls. At dinner with me, in the high chair, he takes about four spoons and then clamps his mouth shut. I don't want to ask her to stop, because it works and he's eating. I'd just like dinner to work without a tour. Did anyone get the two styles to meet somewhere?

grandmother did the walking feed with ours. 21 years later she still eats standing up 😄 seriously though, it eased once she could feed herself. finger food at dinner helped

Finger food is a good thought. He grabs everything already, so giving him something to hold might buy me more than four spoons.

Our caregiver did the walking feed too. What helped was asking her to do one meal a day at the table with him, just so he got used to sitting, and letting the walks stay for the other meals. My son is 12 now and nobody remembers the battle except me.
